In the legal environment we provide support to attorneys by clarifying medical issues, future needs and costs, and establishing the medical merits of their cases.

Meet The Team

Deborah Weiner Katz,

OTR/L, CCM, CLCP

President

As a graduate of Temple University’s Occupational Therapy program, Debbi has worked in the rehabilitation industry since 1979. Her background is extensive and includes work in pediatrics, psychiatry, developmental disabilities, physical disabilities, geriatric care, and catastrophic injuries. She helped to establish and operate a multi-disciplinary outpatient brain injury treatment program for treatment of patients requiring post-acute or residential care. In addition to working as a clinician and program administrator, she has worked in almost every aspect of care management, litigation support, and cost evaluation since 1983. Debbi established Advanced Rehabilitation Management, Inc. in 1990 and the company has flourished under her direction.

AREAS OF EXPERTISE

As the head of AdvancedRM, Debbi utilizes her expertise to guide all staff members in providing consultative services to our clients. She is a hands-on leader who is actively involved in training, supervision, and oversight of the staff. Her interest in spinal cord and catastrophic illness and injury, combined with her knowledge of bio-technology supports, adaptive equipment, and environmental modifications, helps our clients to achieve maximum independence and dignity through case management or litigation avenues. Debbi has extensive knowledge of both traditional and non-traditional brain injury and rehabilitation programs nationwide, an expansive network of providers, and an acute awareness of community agencies and resources.

Holly Creedon,

RN, BS, CCM, CBIS

Clinical Supervisor

Holly’s eclectic clinical experience includes work with wound care, oncology, hospice care, and traumatic injuries in hospital and community based care. Her natural curiosity and desire to become involved in whole patient care led her to seek a position with AdvancedRM as a Case Manager in 2000. Her experience includes general and catastrophic cases in Workers’ Compensation and auto injuries. Holly has imparted her expertise not only in the state of Michigan, but throughout the United States and even internationally. Her work has spanned to remote locations such as Iraq and the Philippines. Oversight of remote cases presented unique challenges as extensive logistical support was required. Often times, no physicians or diagnostic equipment was available on site. Holly’s superior logistical skills helped to steer local providers towards appropriate resources locally, nationally, and internationally. She routinely performs legal file reviews, future care analysis, and implementation of case management services to help clients obtain required assistance. She now supervises our staff members in Michigan, serves as an Expert Witness on a number of legal cases, and is a valued resource to insurers and attorneys.

AREAS OF EXPERTISE

Holly is an expert in catastrophic injury including, but not limited to, traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury. She has clinical experience with the chronically ill and disabled. Holly possesses expertise in file review, case management, case evaluation, and other aspects of medical legal consultation. In addition to holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing & Sociology from Western Michigan University, she is a Certified Case Manager as well as a Certified Brain Injury Specialist.

Deborah Krc,

RN, BSN, MBA, CBIS

Sr. Rehabilitation Specialist

Debbie has a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor as well as a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Eastern Michigan University. She is also a Certified Brain Injury Specialist. Debbie is an accomplished nurse whose medical and administrative experience spans 25 years in the hospital environment. She helped to develop case management protocols through a grant from Robert Wood Johnson to assist indigent patients in developing healthy lifestyles and following up care to lower the number of repeat ER visits. She managed a team of nurses and established a student training program in the clinical setting. She then transferred these skills to her work in a forensic environment. She oversaw staffing, medical needs inside and outside of the prison system, and provided case management services while overseeing quality of care. Debbie joined AdvancedRM in 2011. In addition to managing her own caseload she assists with staff selection, training, and development.

AREAS OF EXPERTISE

Debbie specializes in personal injury, orthopedic injury, traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injury case oversight. Her attention to detail has enabled her to perform complex medical file reviews, cost projections, and future needs assessments. She has a personal interest in geriatric care and is a great match with our elderly patients and their families. She has performed home modification assessments and has handled some of our most complicated medical cases. Debbie’s business acumen paired with her clinical experience has enabled her to develop into a strong and competent case manager with a knowledge base to support her involvement in complex medical claims and cases.

Kimberly German,

BS, AAS

Director of Operations & Business Development

Kimberly received a Bachelor's of Science degree in Business & Marketing from Jefferson University in 1995. She established a successful career in management, sales, merchandising and marketing until 2011. At that time, Kimberly decided to combine her interest in business and marketing with an interest in the law.  She returned to school and graduated with an Associates of Applied Science degree in Paralegal Studies from an ABA approved program in Philadelphia.  After working as a Paralegal in insurance defense, Kimberly decided to joined AdvancedRM in 2012 to incorporate her varied skills in one business.  Today, Kimberly oversees our corporate operations including day to day business needs, working with software designers to enhance our proprietary software systems, supervising our collections process, monitoring the efficiency and productivity of corporate staff members, and oversees the administrative aspects of all of our legal files.  She contributes her marketing expertise to AdvancedRM by collaborating with graphic designers and web developers to produce materials for use in all of AdvancedRM's marketing initiatives. Kimberly began our CLE program in 2015 in which we visit law offices, conferences, and meeting facilities to present our strategies to optimize case outcomes by utilizing legal support services to attorneys from PA and NJ; earning the attorneys continuing legal education credit.  She also volunteers her Paralegal expertise to the Wills for Heroes program which provides free basic estate planning documents to first responders and military veterans in Pennsylvania.

AdvancedRM helped me to establish the knee surgery performed on the claim I was handling was for a pre-existing condition. I was able to deny this part of the claim. Their thorough and professional reviews are informative and helpful.
